Thrive & Learn services are provided by Becky Ludlow.
I have worked with children and young people since 2005. During this time, I have taught a range of subjects in primary schools, middle schools, secondary schools and a post 16 setting. I have held leadership roles in schools, which has broadened my knowledge of curriculum planning and management.
I have also worked for the Isle of Wight Council as an SEN Casework Officer and as a Social Care Education Professional, which has allowed me to focus on working with children who require additional learning support or wellbeing support.
I have also been a Children's Advocate, which has entailed supporting young people to make sure that their views, wishes and feelings are expressed to the people who can make a difference in their lives.
I have then gone on to study counselling skills, neuro linguistic programming (NLP) and hypnotherapy as methods to support the emotional wellbeing of young people. I also participate in emotional literacy support (ELSA) training and supervision sessions with the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Educational Psychology Service.
I enjoy working with young people of all ages and am passionate about helping them to thrive and learn!
